Alltech Brewing and Distilling Introduces New Town Branch Bourbon.

Alltech Brewing and Distilling Company executives and guests raised glasses Wednesday to toast the launch of Alltech’s newest drink, Town Branch Bourbon, which joins a growing and distinguished list of its locally-produced beverages.

Town Branch Bourbon will be the Official Spirit of the Alltech National Horse Show, Nov. 2-6, at the Kentucky Horse Park.

The drink is named after the creek that runs under Rupp Arena and other parts of downtown. Currently the Town Branch, such as it is, goes underground at the Rupp parking lot and continues to run under Vine Street. It’s long been part of the Distillery District dream plan to beautify its presence there and continuing it into downtown certainly has some merit to it.

Town Branch Bourbon is the first bourbon made in Lexington in many years.

“The name Town Branch commemorates the body of water that currently runs under Lexington, upon which Lexington was founded,” “Town Branch was once the lifeblood of Lexington, now again it is bringing joy to Lexingtonians and Bourbon lovers alike.”

said Dr. Pearse Lyons, president and founder of Alltech said in a press release.

KyForward.com reports…

Alltech, an international enterprise headquartered in Lexington, first entered into the beverage industry with the introduction of its Irish red/English pale ale hybrid, Kentucky Ale, in 2000.

In the ensuing eleven years, Alltech added to its collection two more award winning beers, Kentucky Light and Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, as well as a Bourbon- infused coffee beverage, Bluegrass Sundown, and a malt whiskey, Pearse Lyons Reserve.

Alltech’s launch of Town Branch Bourbon comes just two weeks before the Alltech National Horse Show’s grand debut at the Kentucky Horse Park. Visitors can get a taste of Town Branch Bourbon, as they tour the Alltech Arena.

Town Branch Bourbon is currently available at local Kentucky retailers.
