The Munfordville Tourism Commission announced the Buffalo Crossing BBQ Cook Off will be October 15-16. This event has been officially sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS). More than $11,000 in prize money, including a grand champion prize of $3,000.

The study released today by the Kentucky Distillers’ Association, says distillers help create about 10,000 jobs with an annual payroll of $442 million and generate $125 million in taxes each year.

Rare Breed Distilling LLC, which produces the Wild Turkey brands of bourbon whiskey, plans to build a 20,000 space barrel storage warehouse at its Wild Turkey distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear announced.
