Easy Pineapple Barbecue Pork Ribs

Thanks to Hank Bob for the inspiration for these easy barbecue ribs with an Hawaiian flair via pineapple chunks and juice.
Ingredients:

  • Ribs
  • Worchestershire Sauce
  • Hot Sauce
  • Dry Rub
  • Chunk Pineapple
  • Pineapple Juice

Prepare the ribs as usual using the dry rub. I recommend Famous Dave’s, available almost everywhere, and it’s famous because it’s good and they happen to be one of my favorite chain BBQ restaurants. Friend Famous Dave’s on Facebook and the first 100,000 friends get a $15 gift certificate. 98,418 as of this post.

Put the ribs on high heat for about five minutes each side to sear in the juices.

Remove from the heat and place the ribs on aluminum foil to make a “boat” to hold in all the liquids you will be adding.

Add about 8-12 ounces of pineapple juice, 4 ounces of worchestire sauce, 6-8 shakes of hot sauce. Then wash all that down with another 8 ounces of pineapple juice.

Be careful your “boat” doesn’t leak and add a 15 ounce can of drained pineapple chunks. Fold up the sides and crumble the corners to maintain strength, add more aluminum foil to the top and put on low indirect heat for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

While your waiting, tide yourself over with some Southern Tomato Pie.
