Craft Distiller Distinction Growing With Addition of Louisville Distilling Co.

The Louisville Distilling Co. has joined the Distilled Spirits Council under a new Craft Distiller Affiliate Membership program.

The Craft Distiller distinction has been given to 25 small distillers as part of the new program aimed at distillers producing fewer than 40,000 nine-liter cases annually.

“We are committed from the outset to this new Craft Distiller group. We believe in the principles of responsible consumption, engaging in tax and legislative matters; and, that it’s important to let everyone know about our role as craft distillers in communities across the country.”

said Wesley Henderson, Louisville Distilling Co.’s chief operating officer, said in a news release.

The Craft Distiller Affiliate Membership was created to organize the growing number of small distilled spirits producers across the nation and alert them to public policy issues affecting the industry at every level of government.

Small distillers in the United States grew from a handful to more than 200 today, now making an array of products from white spirits such as vodka and gin to wide varieties of liqueurs, aged whiskeys and brandies.

  1. I read about you in Business First and had your bourbon at Jack Fry’s. Great Bourbon, very smooth and flavorful. I would love to be able to help with your new location. Please contact me at: pat@tuckerbooker.com
