OK, I stretched the truth a LOT!

It’s not a new bourbon delivery system.

This bike actually exists and isn’t some photoshop trickery. It’s part of the Portland Adult Soap Box Derby.

This year’s Winner for Best Engineering was Twin Barrels Burning by Charley Wheelock.  It didn’t win for speed, but it won everyone’s heart and soul.

“we put disc brakes on wine barrels with a ’57 Ford F100 drop axle for a frame and rode them down a mountain.”

Mr. Wheelock also runs Kapow Design.

We ended up winning a trophy for best Engineering!  My friend Julius congratulated us for getting the smartest prize for the dumbest car.

I guess it’s too late to get a special guest appearance for the  Bourbon Heritage Festival.
