I've always thought this was the best Monroe bbq. The original Paul&Nora's burned to the ground as well. The cinder block building that is there now was the rebuild and has gone through at least 2 owners since then that I know of. This has become a hidden gem since KY 163 was redirected -- the road it's on used to be the main road of 163.

It's been awhile since I've been there so I don't know if they still have them, but you should have also gotten a BBQ egg -- a hardboiled egg "pickled" in hot vinegar dip -- not for the faint stomached. The new ownership may not have kept them -- but it sounds like they kept some of the other stuff from the original P&N like the free refills of sides.

And while not necessarily bbq, the other culinary landmark in T-ville is Dovies. Stop in and get at least "unsqueezed" Dovie burger.
